DIRECTIONS:  From the SOUTH;- M6 junction 36. take the 3^rd turning off the roundabout onto the A65 Kirkby Lonsdale.  100yards take 1^st left off roundabout to Crooklands.  Turn left opposite the Crooklands Hotel, onto the B6385 where you will find the Showground.

From the NORTH;- M6 junction 36,  take the 1^st turning left onto A65 then follow the above directions.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The committee will not be responsible for or liable for any loss or damage sustained by the exhibitors, riders or their horse or ponies and all entries are accepted on this basis.

2. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate any classes if there are insufficient entries.

3. Entries will not be accepted without the appropriate entry fee.

4. The organisers have tried to ensure that classes do not clash, however it is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure that they can compete in the classes entered.

5. The committee have the power to judge any dispute that may arise, their decision will be final.  Any objection to the result of any class must be made in writing to the secretary within 30mins of the end of the class.  A deposit of £5.00 returnable if the objection is sustained must accompany the objection.

6. All entry fees are non returnable. Prize money will be paid on the day. 

 7.  NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

8.This show is affiliated to the BSPS and all persons competing or taking part in the classes, whether or not a member or not are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS including disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS and .  Any horse or pony taking part at this show is liable to dope testing.

9.  This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Championship Show to be held at Arena UK.

10.   All shows that are affiliated to the BSPS are qualifiers for the BSPS TRAVEL TRUST  ASSOCIATION Challenge.  L/R, F/R, Open S/P’s Open Nursery Stakes, Open WHP’s and LR of HT, Open SHP’s and Open Intermediates. If after qualifying a pony qualifies for the HOYS it will forfeit its qualification for the “BSPS Challenge”.  Cradle Stakes the highest placed pony that has not qualified for the “ Challenge” will qualify, if the highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.

11.This show is a qualifier for the PREMIER LEAGUE & Black Country Saddles Rider of the year & BSPS e mail Accumulator Competion.

12. Classes 7 & 8 are qualifiers for the BSPS “Blue Riband” Classes 10,11,12 are qualifiers for the BSPS “Dennybeck Classic” owners & riders must be BSPS members & the pony registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with Blue Riband/Dennybeck Classic qualification.

COMPETITORS IN BSPS CLASSES MUST WEAR BRITISH STANDARD RIDING HATS AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED - ALL AS PER RULE 46 BSPS HANDBOOK

CLASS 11 - BSPS 138CMS DENNYBECK CLASSIC SHOW PONY    Mare or gelding 4 years old or over exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 138cms. Riders not to have attained their 15^th birthday by 1^st January in the current year.  Highest  placed not exceeding 133cms will qualify for the 2009 Championship.   Riders must produce their card for the judge to sign whilst in the ring.

CLASS 12 - BSPS 148CMS DENNYBECK CLASSIC SHOW PONY  Mare or gelding 4 years old or over exceeding 138cms not ex. 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17^th birthday by 1^st January in the current year.  Highest placed pony not exceeding 143cms will qualify for the 2009 Championships.  Riders must produce their card for the judge to sign  whilst in the ring.
